Beyond the Classroom at The Langley Heritage Primary
BackCoronation day
We celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III with crown making and a Royal Tea Party. Children dressed in red, white, blue and party clothes to mark the occasion. Our children also created Coronation art work which was displayed by SouthWest Railways.
Athletic quad kids
This term Year 6 competed in an Athletics quad kids' competition. This consisted of our five best girls and boys taking part in 4 different athletics activities against many other schools. We finished a very respectable 4th place, with one of our students Remmi Jimenez finishing second place out of all the boys in the competition, gaining himself a silver medal.
Gardening club
Children from KS1 have been busy at gardening club this half term. They have planted strawberries, sweet peas, broad beans, potatoes, onions, garlic, lettuce, radishes and rainbow chard in the raised beds and taken care of the herb and wildflower patch by watering every week. The school have entered into the Slough Borough Schools Wheelbarrow Competition, which will take place in the Town Square on 15-18th June, the public is welcome to go and see the display! Pupils have planted a fragrant mix of plants and decorated the wheelbarrow with colourful flowers and insects.
